Every third Thursday of every month, Westbury Total Health Care hosts a
Lymphedema Support Group where people can talk to other people about Lymphedema.

Gather around with a cup of coffee and a few snacks and discuss with some new friends here all your concerns and questions you might have about Lymphedema.

All groups are hosted by Andrea Primmegia, who is a breast cancer survivor and volunteers her time every month to help other cope with the complications of Lymphedema. The Group feautures special guest speakers of all types such as Tai Chi programs, nutrition lectures, wellness, and other physcians discussions. Presently, Westbury Total Health Care has expanded our Lymphedema therapy unit to include six certified therapists for combined decongestive manual therapy (CDT), which is a non-invasive therapy that has been used in Europe for over 30 years. The CDT incorporates manual lymphatic drainage, compression bandaging, skin care, exercises and education in home maintenance.

The lymphedema program is supported by our 2 Board Certified Doctors, Physical Therapists, Certified Lymphedema Therapists, and PTA’s who instruct and administer the therapeutic floor and mat exercises.

Westbury Total Health Care also offers free Lymphedema Consultations.
Meet with a certified lymphedema therapist and discuss your treatment options and other concerns that you may have.
